GLENLYON RECREATION RESERVE

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Victoria's countryside, Glenlyon Recreation Reserve offers a delightful surprise for travellers seeking an authentic rural escape. The real treasure here is the adjacent mineral spring - unlike many in the region, this one delivers genuinely refreshing, pleasant-tasting water that's worth the visit alone. The expansive grassed camping area accommodates any size caravan on level ground, perfect for self-contained travellers who appreciate generous space without the crowds. Clean public toilets and barbecue facilities sit conveniently nearby, whilst the fenced dog area ensures four-legged companions can stretch their legs safely. The peaceful setting beside the local pony club adds rural charm, and the abundant shade trees create perfect picnic spots. With excellent drainage and a relaxed atmosphere, it's one of those 'don't tell everyone' gems that delivers exactly what families need for a proper country getaway.
